"Tips to Fight Frizzy Hair" from May 26, 2005 show

Steps to Fighting Hair Frizz:

1) After washing the hair, blot it dry with a towel in a gentle manner
2) Comb out hair with a wide tooth comb and apply a smoothing gel or cream
3) Blow hair out using medium heat until it is almost dry
4) In sections of one to two inches, wrap hair around a large round brush
5) Blow dry each section by facing the blow-dryer down the hair-shaft, going with the grain of the hair
6) After drying the root area, smooth out the ends of the hair with the round brush and continue to aim the nozzle down the hair shaft
7) When hair is completely dry, rub a few laminate drops between your palms and distribute throughout the hair
8) Finish off with a small amount of hairspray

To add additional volume, use all of the steps, except for in step 6 aim the hair-dryer nozzle at a 90 degree angle to the head instead of down the hair shaft. Once you have completed styling your hair, do not touch it. Remember the oils from your fingers will ruin your blow out.

Tools to help you look your best:

1) Large diameter natural bristle round brush
2) 1800 watt blow-dryer with multiple heat settings and a cold and hot button
3) Lightweight gel for fine hair
4) Smoothing gel for wavy hair
5) Ceramic flat iron
6) Lightweight hairspray

When using products, less is generally better to allow the hair to move freely.
